Frequently Asked Questions

What's New for 2025?

The main change for 2025 is the introduction of the Defender Octa model, the fastest and most powerful Defender model ever. The Defender 110 trim levels have also been slightly changed, with the previous P500 SE trim now available as the P500 X-Dynamic SE. The P525 V8 Carpathian Edition has been discontinued, but the regular P525 V8 is still available, slotting below the Octa in the lineup. Otherwise, the Defender 110 remains unchanged for 2025.

What's the difference between the Defender 110 P300, P400, P500, and P525?

The Defender 110's PXXX designations refer to the model's horsepower and engine. P300 is a 296-horsepower 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, P400 is a 395-horsepower 3.0L turbocharged inline 6-cylinder engine with a 48v Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle (MHEV) system, P500 is a 493-horsepower 5.0L supercharged V8 engine, and P525 is a 518-horsepower 5.0L supercharged V8 engine.

What's the difference between the Defender 110 S, X-Dynamic SE, X, and V8?

The Defender 110 S is the standard trim level offering popular standard features and more classic overall styling. The S trim is an excellent choice for those who want a Defender 110 in its purest form without any extra frills.

The Defender 110 X-Dynamic SE adds darker and more modern exterior styling elements, plus some interior upgrades like a surround sound system, configurable interior lighting, and extra durable Resist seat upholstery. If you want a more modern Defender 110 experience, opt for the X-Dynamic SE.

The Defender 110 X uniquely blends luxury features like leather seats, electronic air suspension, and a head-up display with off-road features like Terrain Response 2, Wade Sensing, and a ClearSight interior rearview mirror. The X trim is ideal for those who plan on long-distance travel or more serious adventures and want a Defender 110 that is comfortable yet capable.

The Defender 110 V8 is a fully loaded, performance-focused model with a powerful V8 engine. If you want a sporty and more aggressive Defender 110, look no further than the V8 trim.

What's the difference between the Defender 110 P300 S and P400 S?

The 2025 Defender P300 S and P400 S are essentially the same model, the only difference being their engine and performance. The P300 S features a 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with 296 horsepower and can accelerate from 0-60 MPH in 7.0 seconds. The P400 S features a larger and more powerful 3.0L turbocharged inline 6-cylinder engine with a 48v Mild Hybrid system, which produces 395 horsepower and can accelerate from 0-60 MPH in only 5.8 seconds.

As a result of the larger engine and increased performance, the P400 S has a higher starting MSRP of $68,100* compared to $60,800* for the P300 S. If you want a more powerful Defender 110 S, opt for the P400; otherwise, the P300 offers the same features.

What's the difference between the Defender 110 P400 X-Dynamic SE and P500 X-Dynamic SE?

The 2025 Defender P400 X-Dynamic SE and P500 X-Dynamic SE are essentially the same model, the only difference being their engine and performance. The P400 is the standard X-Dynamic SE trim, offering a 3.0L turbocharged inline 6-cylinder engine with a 48v Mild Hybrid system producing 395 horsepower and can accelerate from 0 to 60 MPH in only 5.8 seconds. The P500 X-Dynamic SE comes with a larger and more powerful 5.0L supercharged V8 engine producing 493 horsepower and can accelerate from 0 to 60 MPH in only 5.2 seconds.

Because of the larger and more powerful V8 engine, the P500 X-Dynamic SE has a higher starting MSRP of $95,000* compared to $72,100* for the P400 X-Dynamic SE. If you want a Defender 110 with a V8 engine but don't want the performance-focused aspects of the P525 V8 or Octa models, then the P500 X-Dynamic SE is a great choice. Otherwise, the P400 X-Dynamic SE offers the same features but with a slightly smaller engine.
